Papal Audience at St Peter’s Square

Today we had the unique experience to attend a Papal Audience, a multi-lingual prayer service where the names of all the parishes and religious organizations are recognized in the language of the country. There are prayers in Italian and the daily reading in the languages represented in the audience. We got up really early to get a good seat so we could see the Holy Father up close. Our efforts paid off. Pope Francis rode around through the crowd and you could really sense the excitement. The Holy Father blessed everyone in the audience and extended his blessings to our family and loved ones. Now that’s a souvenir!
